Based on roundedBoundedBri, show the applicable BRI row only, hide the 19 inapplicable ones. That could be CSS classes like ifbri1, ifbri2, … ifbri20, similar to the current ifmetric and ifimperial CSS classes.

Would it be possible to use [[Template:Calculator/doc#Formula|ifequal or any other formula]] to check a specific (hidden) radio button, then use CSS to show only one BRI row?

Based on roundedBoundedBri, show the applicable BRI row only, hide the 19 inapplicable ones. That could be CSS classes like ifbri1, ifbri2, … ifbri20, similar to the current ifmetric and ifimperial CSS classes.

Would it be possible to use ifequal or any other formula to check a specific (hidden) radio button, then use CSS to show only one BRI row?

The result will be as described in User_talk:Doc_James#c-Uwappa-20241013092500-Body_roundness_index

  • Sandbox CSS at: Template:Body_roundness_index/sandbox/bmi.css
  • Left align all input and output fields, so the eye has an easy, fixed starting point for each row.
  • Crop silhouettes so there is no space left of silhouettes, silhouette is above BRI value
  • Less contrast for static field prompts, keep contrast for interactive elements, attracting focus
  • Right align field prompts, minimise eye movement from prompt to variables and vice versa.
  • Left aligned the radio buttons which makes the calculator be smaller. The two choices are now closer together, visible in one eye fixation (about 300 milliseconds), no eye movement required to read both (1 eye fixation, 1 movement, and another fixation are now required). Reading the radio buttons is now more than twice as fast for the human eye.
  • size 3 for height in feet so its spinbox matches width with inches
  • Light grey borders so dynamic fields stand out, easy focus for the human eye.
  • Changed table caption to: BRI Calculator
  • Created variable roundedBoundedBri, a rounded version of bri, bounded in range 1…20.
